Where does the name KĀTA come from?

The name KĀTA is rooted in the Sanskrit word for "cut", "shape", and "structure". It represents the very act of creation: an idea brought to life through clean lines, precise geometries, and a well-defined aesthetic vision. It is the essence of the work taking shape, uniting conceptual art with tangible matter.

Our Philosophy: Technology and Craftsmanship

We are a design studio that looks to the future without forgetting attention to detail. We create our pieces using 3D printing, a technology that allows us to shape complex geometries.

To enhance the beauty and durability of some selected pieces, we hand-apply resin finishes, giving a unique, shiny, and pleasant-to-the-touch feel that transforms every object into an exclusive work of art.

Love for the Earth: Natural Materials, Zero Petroleum

We firmly believe that true luxury and contemporary design must be responsible. For this reason, nature is at the heart of everything we do:

  • No Petroleum-Based Plastic: The filaments we use for 3D printing are derived directly from the earth and from natural and renewable resources (such as vegetable starches and biopolymers).
  • Real Eco-Sustainability: We reject the use of synthetic polymers derived from petroleum to drastically reduce environmental impact.
  • Conscious Production: We produce on demand or in small batches to avoid overproduction and unnecessary accumulation of waste.

Choosing a KĀTA piece means bringing an object into your everyday space where technology meets deep respect for the planet.
