WHO WE ARE
Where does the name KĀTA come from?
The name KĀTA is rooted in the Sanskrit word for "cut", "shape", and "structure". It represents the very act of creation: an idea brought to life through clean lines, precise geometries, and a well-defined aesthetic vision. It is the essence of the work taking shape, uniting conceptual art with tangible matter.
Our Philosophy: Technology and Craftsmanship
We are a design studio that looks to the future without forgetting attention to detail. We create our pieces using 3D printing, a technology that allows us to shape complex geometries.
To enhance the beauty and durability of some selected pieces, we hand-apply resin finishes, giving a unique, shiny, and pleasant-to-the-touch feel that transforms every object into an exclusive work of art.
Love for the Earth: Natural Materials, Zero Petroleum
We firmly believe that true luxury and contemporary design must be responsible. For this reason, nature is at the heart of everything we do:
- No Petroleum-Based Plastic: The filaments we use for 3D printing are derived directly from the earth and from natural and renewable resources (such as vegetable starches and biopolymers).
- Real Eco-Sustainability: We reject the use of synthetic polymers derived from petroleum to drastically reduce environmental impact.
- Conscious Production: We produce on demand or in small batches to avoid overproduction and unnecessary accumulation of waste.
